Alabama State University is putting creativity in the spotlight this fall! The Warren-Britt Galleries will welcome artists Vincent Buwalda and Nathaniel Allen for a dynamic new exhibition that invites students, faculty, staff and the Montgomery community to experience art, spark conversation and see the world through new perspectives.
Running September 15 through October 16, 2026, the exhibition will transform the Warren-Britt Galleries inside the Tullibody Fine Arts Center into a space for exploration, inspiration and cultural connection.
The excitement begins on Tuesday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to noon, with an opening reception and gallery talk. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the exhibition while learning more about the artists and the ideas behind their work.
More than an art display, the exhibition is an extension of the classroom — giving ASU students an opportunity to observe, interpret and connect with visual art in meaningful ways. Through exposure to different artistic subjects and perspectives, students can strengthen their creative thinking and discover connections between art and their own academic experiences.
“Art creates opportunities for students to see, question and think differently,” said Vincent Buwalda, professor of Art and Gallery Director. "The exhibition reflects the University’s commitment to creating an engaging and culturally enriching environment where learning extends beyond traditional classroom walls.”
