Dr. Manoj Mishra, professor and director of Alabama State University’s Cancer Research Center, has been invited to serve on the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) Career
Development Core Committee. His two-year term officially began on July 1, 2026.
This prestigious national committee is a central component of the AAI’s new governance structure. It is dedicated to advancing career development opportunities for immunologists throughout every stage of their professional lifespan, from early-career researchers to established leaders in the field.
In this role, Dr. Mishra will support key programs and initiatives that advance the global immunology community, promote professional development, and enhance the scientific discipline. His appointment positions ASU as a leader in national conversations about the future of scientific research and education.
“Given the significance of this appointment and its visibility at the national level, I believe it reflects positively on ASU’s research and academic mission,” said Mishra.
