Mr. Matthew Miller is a musician, producer, and engineer who serves as Assistant Professor of Recording Technology at Alabama State University. Originally from Wetumpka, Alabama, he completed his undergraduate studies at Auburn University Montgomery, and later spent years in Nashville and Birmingham collaborating with artists across genres, from EL EL and StateRoom to Mitchell Tenpenny, Jon Pardi, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones. He earned his MFA in Recording Arts and Technologies from Middle Tennessee State University while living in Nashville. He has been teaching in the Recording Technology Department at ASU since August 2025, and has since returned to Wetumpka, where he lives with his wife and two children.
