Mr. Ernest Harris serves as the Band Technician & Athletic Bands Assistant for the Department of Music at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, where he provides logistical support for all of the instrumental music ensembles within the Department of Music.

A native of Autaugaville, Alabama, Mr. Harris received the Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Alabama State University and pursued graduate study at Troy University. He served as a music educator in Lowndes County and the Montgomery Public School systems. He is a member of the Montgomery chapter of the Alabama State University National Alumni Association, the National and Alabama Band Masters Associations, the Alabama Jazz Federation, and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.
