Alabama State University’s (ASU) office of Academic Affairs Preventing School Violence (PSV) has partnered with the Montgomery Public Schools (MPS) to host an important job fair to recruit qualified security personnel who are committed to protecting our schools, students, and staff. The event will be held at 10 a.m. June 10 at the ASU Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
Avionne Ruffin, director of ASU Preventing School Violence in Montgomery Public Schools, spoke passionately about the event.
“This initiative reflects our shared belief that strong, well‑trained security professionals play a vital role in creating safe learning environments where students can thrive academically and socially,” emphasized Ruffin.
Ruffin noted the vital role security professionals play—not just guarding buildings, but also building trust, preventing problems, and helping students feel safe and supported every day.
“This job fair is an important step in strengthening school safety across Montgomery,” she added.
