Alabama State University (ASU) has made good on a promise to support Alabama A&M University’s (AAMU) 150th anniversary celebration with a $10,000 donation toward its $150 million fundraising campaign.
The pledge was first announced by ASU President Dr. Quinton T. Ross, Jr. during the Magic City Classic Kickoff Luncheon last week. The contribution reflects ASU’s recognition of AAMU’s historic legacy and its continued impact on higher education in Alabama and beyond.
“Alabama State University is proud to support Alabama A&M during this historic milestone,” President Ross stated. “This gift is a symbol of our respect and admiration for the legacy AAMU has built and the future it continues to shape.”
The donation highlights the spirit of unity and mutual respect between the two institutions, both of which have played pivotal roles in advancing educational opportunity and community development across the state.
ASU congratulates Alabama A&M University on 150 years of excellence and looks forward to the continued success of its mission.
