Small businesses are the backbone of communities. They are built on dreams, hard work, and determination. Entrepreneurs ready to make their dreams a reality can find a road map to success by signing up for the virtual live workshop, “How to Start a Business in Alabama and Write a Business Plan,” sponsored by the Alabama Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Alabama State University. Open to the public, the free workshop is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (CDT) on July 1, 2025.

“This workshop aims to equip attendees with practical tools and knowledge to move from idea to execution. A business plan is a key step in this process, providing a roadmap for turning aspirations into tangible actions,” said Andrea Rogers Mosley, Director, Alabama SBDC at Alabama State University.

Participants will learn the business basics, starting with training topics: Business Plan and Business Start-up/Preplanning.
