Alabama State University's College of Education's Central Alabama Regional Education Inservice Center will be hosting the State Department of Education's 2025 National Board-Certified Teacher (NBCT) Boot Camp on July 24-25.
The boot camp will be held in the Ralph David Abernathy building, with the opening session beginning at 8:30 a.m. on July 24 in the Deshields Auditorium.
The event will be under the supervision of Dr. Evelyn A. Hodge, who serves as the center’s director of the Central Alabama Regional Education Inservice Center-Region 8 Schools, and the center’s assistant director, Dr. Jacquelin Asberry.
"Sessions will be held in the Abernathy Annex Building, and in the Great Hall of Teachers," Hodge said. "There will be educators from across the state in attendance at the event and we are excited for Alabama State University to be its host, which will be held going-forward at Alabama's other major universities."
