The Alabama State University Alumni Connection (ASUAC) will host The Distinguished Alumni Awards to recognize 18 alumni of the Hornet Nation Family who were selected for outstanding achievements.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 7 at the Wynfrey Hotel, Hyatt Regency in Birmingham, Alabama with a reception starting at 6 p.m. and the ceremony at 7 p.m.
It is a ticketed event.
ABOUT THE AWARD
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes alumni who have made notable and documentable contributions to the University in such areas as finance and recruitment, and within their professions and personal lives.
They were selected based on their involvement and success in the following categories: Agriculture, Arts, Athletics, Business, Civil Rights, Communication, Community Service, Education, Engineering, Entertainment, Government, Health, Law, Medicine, Military, Religion, Science, and Technology.
The winners below are alumni of The Alabama State University, The Lincoln Normal School or The Alabama State Teachers College. All winners attended school for a minimum of one complete term and left in good standing. They were selected by the Distinguished Alumni Award Selection Committee.
