WVAS FM and Montgomery County Sheriffs Host Halloween Spooktacular, Oct. 31
WVAS-FM 90.7, the voice of Alabama State University and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are co-sponsoring the 2019 Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, October 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Garrett Coliseum. This safe community-wide event is for children ages of 1 to 12.
“Spooktacular offers the community a safe alternative to door-to-door trick or treating,” said Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham. “It’s a fun event for our kids, one that we look forward to every year.”
WVAS 90.7 FM has partnered with the Sheriff’s Office to offer a family-friendly and safe Halloween night for local kids for over ten years. It is a one-stop, free event that features plenty of candy, music, and community interaction.
“To ensure that we are able to make every child happy on Halloween, we are always seeking help from businesses, public service agencies, churches, and neighborhood associations to make this event a success,” Cunningham said.
