The President Pro-Tem of the Alabama State University Board of Trustees, Delbert Madison, is serving on the advisory committee of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) in its effort to select a new president and CEO.
"The search was brought about due to our esteemed current NASBA president and CEO, Ken L. Bishop, announcing his desire to retire from his office, effective July 31," said Madison, a Montgomery native who serves as the senior vice president of Treasury Management Sales at ServisFirst Bank. "President (Ken) Bishop has done extremely well in our organization's mission and goals over the last 12 years that he has been in office. We are earnestly looking for a successor who can be as innovative and dynamic as he has been so we may build upon the foundation that he created, which will lead NASBA into the future."
Since 1908, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) has served as a forum for the nation’s boards of accountancy, which administers the Uniform CPA Examination, licensing more than 672,000 certified public accountants and regulating the practice of public accountancy in the United States. NASBA is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.
