The Small Business Administration at Alabama State University is partnering with the Prattville Small Business  Academy to sponsor a free online workshop titled “Customer  Service: Is Your Business: Outperforming Competition” from 11:30 a.m.to 1 p.m. (CST), Wednesday, June  16, on Zoom.

In the two-module course, participants will learn strategies on creating a culture that customers can count on to receive the best service that will guarantee that their business thrives.  In order to attract and keep internal and external stakeholders, the top priority is to ensure customers consistently receive a positive experience.

Training will focus on strategies to:

  • Assess the needs of your current customer base
  • Determine what behaviors are needed to support these needs

This course is led by Kim Anderson, founder of Performance Advantage Solutions.

Anderson has trained hundreds of leaders and thousands of employees in the Department of Defense (civilian  and military members), community colleges and universities, nonprofits, social services, finance, and Fortune 500 arenas.  She has created and led performance development programs for two of the largest civilian training operations in the Department of Defense (Marine Corps Community Services / MWR at Camps Butler and Lejeune).

She also led the design and delivery of three customer service trainings, two of them subsequently implemented worldwide (Marine Corps Community Services / MWR and a Fortune 500 Company).  She has facilitated FranklinCovey's All Access Pass Program for U.S. Air Force military and civilian leaders.

Anderson holds a master’s degree in Adult Education and achieved the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance distinction through the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).  She completed ASTD's certificate program in Human Performance Improvement Technology as well.  Anderson's career has spanned three decades and three continents.

The event is co-hosted by Alabama SBDC at Alabama State University and the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce.
