How ready is your business when it comes to cyber security threats?  The Small Business Development Center at Alabama State University is offering a free COVID-19 Cyber Security Awareness Virtual Course on Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CST) to address this topic.

Cyber attackers vary in target, motive, levels of organization and technical capabilities; requiring public and private organizations to adopt ever-increasing measures to prevent cyber-attacks.

This event is part of a three (3) module course that provides valuable information and measures to protect the integrity of critical infrastructures; prevent loss of revenues, harm to brand reputation, potential fines, legal liabilities or ransom payments.

Module 1 will discuss Cyber Hygiene Awareness and What It Is, Why It’s Bad, How It Happens.  We will also discuss Strong Authentications; Conducting Regular Backups; and Famous Cyber Cases.  Participants are encouraged to complete each module for full benefits of the course.

Participants can also sign up for no cost one-on-one business advisement with the instructor for an individual assessment and assistance developing their Cyber Security Plan.  The course is led by Anwar Shahid of Propelled Technologies, LLC, a highly trained certified professional that customize cyber security solutions for a diversified group of federal and corporate clients.
