COVID-19 Cyber Security Awareness Virtual Course Set for March 23

How ready is your business when it comes to cyber security threats? Cyber attackers vary in target, motive, levels of organization, and technical capabilities; requiring public and private organizations to adopt ever-increasing measures to prevent cyber-attacks. 

Learn about security measures during The Small Business Development Center’s COVID-19 Cyber Space Awareness Virtual Course: Module 3 – Risk Management (Part 2) from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CDT). on Tuesday, March 23, on Zoom.

The live online meeting is free. Registration deadline is 10 a.m. (CDT) on March 23.

The course is part of a three-module course that provides valuable information and measures to protect the integrity of critical infrastructures; prevent loss of revenues, harm to brand reputation, potential fines, legal liabilities or ransom payments. 

Module 3 will discuss Risk Management (Part 2). Topics will include COVID-19 general support, Internet/Web training, risk management and technology.  Participants are encouraged to complete each module for full benefits of the course.

Participants can also sign up at no cost for one-on-one business advisement with the instructor for an individual assessment and assistance developing their Cyber Security Plan.  The course is led by Anwar Shahid of Propelled Technologies, LLC, a highly trained certified professional that customizes cyber security solutions for a diversified group of federal and corporate clients.

Although the event is free, preregistration is required. To sign  up, visit and click on the green “Sign Up.” The event is an online training.  Instructions for signing into the session will be forwarded to participants in a separate email 30 minutes before the event to join the ZOOM meeting.  Once signed in to ZOOM, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room and admitted individually.
