Community Invited to Celebrate ‘The Nest’ One-Year Anniversary

Come say “Hi.”

The public is invited to join Alabama State University on Friday, August 18, for the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the University’s entertainment venue, The Nest.

Located at the ASU Stadium, 1525 Harris Way, The Nest’s doors will open at 5 p.m., with a short program starting at 6 p.m. The celebration ends at 11:30 p.m.

Guests will enjoy an evening of music by local favorite, DJ Tony, and a menu that includes light hors d’oeuvres and drink specials. For those who want to sit down and experience a great casual cuisine, the kitchen will be in full swing.

“We look forward to celebrating this one-year milestone with the community,” said Xavier Hicks, general manager for Aramark, ASU’s food service provider. “This will be a wonderful evening of delicious food and great entertainment as we celebrate The Nest. Whether you’re a regular patron of The Nest, or if you haven’t yet had a chance to visit our facility, this will be a great opportunity to celebrate with us and see what this unique venue has to offer.”

Admission to the celebration is free, but attendees must be 25 or older to be admitted.
