ASU Communications Chair Appointed to Important Regional Advisory CommitteeBy Kenneth Mullinax/ASUThe chairman of the University's Communications Department, Dr. William Russell Robinson, has been named to the advisory committee of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) for a one-year term. Robinson will be immersed in the SREB's Center for Innovative Faculty Development on its advisory review committee."I am very pleased and humbled to have been selected to be a member of this academic organization that focuses heavily on better understanding faculty development needs and their interests at various schools within our nation," Robinson said.Dr. Stephen L. Pruitt, president of SREB, explained that Robinson and his fellow committee members, have important duties to perform that touch on both students and faculty alike."As an advisor, Robinson will work to bring better understanding and clarity to the SREB and work with its membership to enhance the teaching and learning experience for students across the U.S. and specifically within the Southern states," Pruitt stated.
