Sandra Hinton, Director

Sandra Hinton has 37 years of experience in education. She earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Alabama State University, a master's degree from LaGrange College, and education specialist degree from Troy State University. Hinton loves to read, shop, and swim.


 Tawana Fuller, Pre-K3 Lead Teacher

Tawana Fuller is a native of Tuscaloosa Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked worked with the Early Head Start program catering to children from infant to three years old. Fuller also taught first  grade with Barbour County School System. She looks forward to a great year at ZSECC.



Reda Brooks, Pre-K4 Lead Teacher

Reda Brooks is a graduate from Mississippi State University . She has 36 years of experience in early childhood education. Brooks enjoys jazz and gospel music, as well as walking and spending time with family and friends.


Linda Davis     Jacqueline Walker     Jeremy  Jordan

Linda Davis, Kindergarten Teacher

Linda Davis is a graduate of Alabama State University. She has a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and 13 years of teaching experience. Davis enjoys reading, watching movies, and visiting family. She enjoys seeing children learn new things.


Jacqueline Walker, Auxiliary Teacher


Jacqueline Walker attended Trenholm State Technical College with a major in Early Childhood Education. She has ten years experience in early childhood. Walker is very excited about working at ZSECC.


Jeremy Jordan, Auxiliary Teacher

Jeremy Jordan attended the University of Alabama where he studied Early Childhood Education. He is currently a graduate student at Alabama State University obtaining a master's degree in Early Childhood Education and Information Systems. Jordan has been working with young children for five years.

Patrice Jackson, Media Specialist


Nikita Jones, Senior Secretary


Patrice Jackson earned a bachelor's degree from Troy University at Montgomery with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology. She has work with the Montgomery City/County Library System for 10 years where she thoroughly enjoyed working with the young adult division. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Social Work at Alabama State University. Jackson enjoys shopping, do it yourself projects, reading, and spending time with family.





Nikita Jones is a native of Jackson Mississippi. She attended Mississippi State University with a major in Computer Science. She is grateful for the opportunity to work at the Zelia Stephens Early Childhood Center and says that being able to be a part of a student's growth process is amazing.
