Department of Curriculum & Instruction
Thank you for your interest in Alabama State University and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
The primary objective of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction is to prepare teacher candidates who are interested in the development and education of students in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Collaborative Education, and Secondary Education. Our goal is to produce teachers who can successfully train and inspire students to become decision makers, change agents, lifelong learners and reflective practitioners. If you are a prospective student who is excited about meeting these challenges, we will gladly welcome your talents, ideas and experiences into ASU’s Hornet Nation.
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction feels very strongly that the quality of each of our graduates is the ultimate measure of our school's success. It is a proven fact that our support helps our graduates reach their highest skill level possible and attain successful careers as an educator.
