Rehabilitation Counseling Mission & Goals
The mission of the Master of Rehabilitation Counseling Program is to prepare students to become Rehabilitation Counselors and to work in partnership with people with disabilities.
The primary goals of the Program include:
- developing and maintaining an educational curriculum focused on effective student learning and development in rehabilitation counseling
- preparing students to become professionals who are committed to effectively partnering with people with disabilities to achieve their maximum vocational, psychological, social, and economic potential
- creating a learning environment that embraces empowerment and inclusion of consumers with disabilities within their communities, state, and nation.
