Alabama State University will hold its annual University College Honors Day Convocation on March 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ralph D. Abernathy auditorium. This year’s theme is “Believe in Yourself.”

Ivry Hall, a freshmen majoring in business, will be the guest speaker.

Hall hails from the South Side of Chicago, and has faced many obstacles to get to college, but he has not allowed them to keep him from excelling academically. Hall, whose unique story was featured in several news articles when he arrived at ASU, has beat all of the odds. His goal is to continue to make a difference in the world and mentor and change young men's lives who might be heading down the wrong path, as he once was.
