Montgomery-based Vance Law Firm has hired an Alabama State University alumnus to its personal injury firm to help bolster the firm’s community practice.

Recently admitted Georgia-based attorney Brandon Price-Crum (‘15) signed his contract with the law firm on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Price-Crum said the firm’s deep commitment for the community and for reaching back and giving people an opportunity is important for the future of Montgomery.

“I advocate that more young professionals like me should come back to Montgomery and take advantage of the career opportunities here,” Price-Crum said. “The Vance Law family champions that initiative; to be able to give young professionals an opportunity.  That’s what impressed me.  It’s so important to be able to envision and impart wisdom, knowledge, understanding and opportunity to our young people.”

Speaking for the law firm, attorney Stewart Vance said he looks forward to advancing the firms partnership with Alabama State University, as well as Price-Crum furthering the firm’s mission to protect the community.

“When we started our involvement with Alabama State early in the year, we really weren’t starting to search for a new attorney.  But it worked out really very well in both regards because with the success of our involvement with Alabama State, we crossed paths with Brandon,” Stewart said. “We are super excited to have somebody who is part of the community to come and be a part of our family to work in the community.”

Alabama State President Quinton T. Ross Jr. said ASU alums are doing great things in widely varied fields and he congratulates ASU’s most recent graduate, Price-Crum, for his accomplishment thus far.

“In recent years, The Vance Law Firm has become a proud partner of Brandon’s alma mater,” Ross said. “Brandon’s presence on their team adds greatly to that partnership, while affording him the opportunity to begin to fulfill his vision of serving others through his chosen profession.”

Price-Crum is a magna cum laude Alabama State University graduate and a 2018 graduate of Florida A&M University College of Law. Brandon passed the Georgia Bar Examine the summer of 2018 and was sworn in via proxy by Hon. Judge J.R. Gaines.  While at ASU, Price-Crum was a Student Government Association Justice and Chief Golden Ambassador.
