SCEMSR Research Lab
STEM CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR MODELING AND SIMULATION RESEARCH (SCEMSR)
Associate Director: Dr. Rajendran Swamidurai
The STEM Center of Excellence for Modeling and Simulation Research (SCEMSR) provides research facilities for the selected aspects of STEM Modeling and Simulation research by way of algorithm developments, modeling, simulation, analysis, design, testing and performance evaluation and support technology transfer to our sponsors. The STEM Center Develops and suggests new curriculum for the STEM Programs based on recommendations from industry sponsors and results from the center research. It supports and trains students by awarding scholarships, undergraduate and graduate assistantships and create pipeline with the industry partners for students’ placements.
SCEMSR has established two research Programs: Software Engineering and Complex Systems Research and Biomedical Engineering Modeling and Simulation Research Programs. It occupies over 2000 square feet of research laboratory and office space with state of the art facilities. Partial list is as follows:
- Software Engineering and Complex Systems Research Facility
- Digit Biomedical Engineering Modeling and Simulation Research Facility
- Cyber Security and Virtual Environments Research Facility
- Energy Modeling and Simulation Research Facility
- Advanced Computing and Informatics Modeling Research Facility
- Various Simulation Facilities (OPNET, MATLAB, FEMLAB, CADENCE, LABVIEW, etc.)
- Unix Server and Client facility
