HBCU-UP STEM Scholars

collageAcademic Year Undergraduate
Research Training

The National Science Foundation (NSF) HBCU-UP Program aims to academically prepare STEM undergraduates to enhance their competitiveness both scientifically and professionally for successful transition into the nation’s top STEM graduate programs. With this goal, the undergraduate research component aims to increase the ratio of motivated STEM students engaging in “hands-on” research and technological experiences with the goal to increase a pool of well-trained minority students in STEM disciplines to fill the national gap of scientists and researchers in the STEM workforce.
