MANDATORY EDUCATION

Federal Law requires that universities receiving federal funding educate incoming Freshman and Transfer students on sexual misconduct, sexual, dating, domestic and stalking violence.  Alabama State University has a “zero tolerance” policy against such offenses.   Haven – Understanding Sexual Assault™ addresses the critical issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking, which impact countless college students across the country.   Completing the Haven Modules will educate you on the issues associated with sexual assault and relationship violence on college campuses.  Haven also covers Bystander Intervention alternatives for students in the college community.

Who is required to complete the online education Haven modules?

  • All incoming Freshman and Transfer students

The Haven educational module is available online today. The course takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

To avoid holds on your student account, please log into www.everfi.com/register  and enter registration code de9c554a.  Returning users, log on to www.everfi.com/login .

RELEASING HOLDS - HOLDS ARE NOT AUTOMACALLY RELEASED


If you have a hold on your account, please follow the instructions below after completing the course to have the HOLD released:

  • On the dashboard, find the button that says "Course Progress."
  • Click on "Course Progress,” a pop-up screen will appear.  Please take a screenshot of this information or print these results.
  • Please make sure the screenshot includes your STUDENT ID NUMBER, as well as your FIRST and LAST NAME.
  • Email the verification to rhorn@alasu.edu (229-6500) and to clang@alasu.edu (229-6737).
  • Emailing us produces more timely results
  • You will receive email confirmation that the HOLD is released as soon as the verification is received.
  • Feel free to call during business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
