Bakari Sellers will discuss student activism during Black History Month speech.

CNN's legal analyst Bakari Sellers will be the featured speaker for Alabama State University's Black History Month Opening Convocation on Tuesday, Feb., 6 at 11 a.m. in the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.

Sellers is one of America's most vocal advocates for the enhanced involvement of young people being registered to vote and becoming 'change-agents' in government and politics. He will speak on the topic "Student Activism; The Key to Real Change."

The event is sponsored by ASU's Office of Student Life and is free and open to the public.

Sellers, an attorney and legal analyst for the CNN Television Network is the youngest African American to ever be elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives. In 2016, he gave one of the opening speeches at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
