Grab your lawn chairs and head over to ASU’s campus on Sunday, April 30, for music, fun and a great chance to give back during the 2017 “I Love ASU” Sting-A-Thon.
Alabama State University will host the 2017 “I Love ASU” Sting-A-Thon on April 30 at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
The festive event features a performance stage, showcasing local talent in a free concert from 4 to 7 p.m.
“This is a family-oriented event,” said Zillah M. Fluker, ASU’s vice president for Institutional Advancement. “It’s a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Not only will you hear some great music, you’ll also enjoy some wonderful food and have an opportunity to learn more about the exciting things that are going on at this University.”
The three-hour event will serve as the culmination of the ASU 150 giving campaign that started on March 1.
“As the University celebrates its Sesquicentennial, we wanted to give ASU supporters the opportunity to show their love for the University by inviting them to make a donation and join the Sesquicentennial honor roll. This is a great way to honor Alabama State University’s 150-year-old legacy,” Fluker added.
