ASU Professor Receives Prestigious Travel Grant

As part of a travel grant from the American Association of Immunologists (AAI), an ASU professor and undergraduate student will attend the AAI annual meeting in New Orleans, La.

Manoj MishraDr. Manoj Mishra, associate professor of biology and director of the Cancer Biology Research and Training Program at Alabama State University, has been selected as a recipient of a 2015 American Association of Immunologists (AAI) Faculty Travel Grant.

The travel grant awards up to $1,250 for registration and travel expenses associated with attending the AAI annual meeting, titled IMMUNOLOGY 2015. The meeting will be held May 8-12 in New Orleans, La.  

In addition, the grant supports travel costs for an undergraduate student of the recipient’s selection to attend the meeting. Mishra selected  undergraduate student Uriel Rose, who will receive up to $1,000 to travel to the AAI meeting.  

Participants attending the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) annual meeting will learn more about latest developments in their field, hear lectures by the world’s most prominent immunologists and see the newest tools and techniques to benefit their research. The meeting also features poster presentations and opportunities to network with colleagues from more than 40 countries.
