Institutional Advancement provides annual and strategic planning and through activities of the Executive Planning Committee, coordinates the planning, administration and evaluation of the university's planning efforts targeting various constituents. The institutional advancement component enables the university to be effective in a competitive environment and in gaining available resources.

The unit consists of the following offices: (1) Alumni Affairs, (2) Grants & Contracts, and (3) Title III.
