Welcome to the office of Business & Finance.  This division is responsible for handling all financial transactions within Alabama State University. Through its various departments, Business & Finance motivates, develops, empowers and rewards staff to achieve the University's vision and continuously improve effectiveness in the following:

·         Processing financial transactions in a timely manner;

·         Providing accounting, financial management reporting and financial system training;

·         Investing the University's long- and short-term cash reserves to maximize return and minimize risk;

·         Working with external auditors to ascertain that public funding is being obtained in accordance with state, federal and local regulations;

·         Working with external financial institutions in the management of fiscal resources;

·         Implementing systems of internal controls to safeguard the assets of the University;

·         Through periodic reporting, keeping the Board of Trustees and its various committees informed of the financial condition of the University to assist them in performing their fiduciary duties as dictated by University charter.
