Are you interested in making sure ASU employees are performing at the “top of their game?" Did you know there’s a new resource available to you called the Center for Perpetual Training and Protocol?  


Who We Are

Our function isn’t limited to training, as that would infer that all performance issues can be remedied by instilling knowledge into someone. Therefore, we will be responsible for exploring all factors that impact employee performance. Perpetual is included in the title to let you know that training is not a one-time event, but a continuous process. Protocol is considered the glue that holds organizational life in our society together or procedures vital in assuring that relations are conducted with minimum friction and maximum efficiency.

Envision ASU as an organization where everyone has the knowledge, skills and abilities to function at full proficiency and a university that has created and fostered effective, positive relations among all employees/divisions/units. Is such an organizational culture even possible? We believe that with your commitment and the Center for Perpetual Training and Protocol’s support, it is!


What We Do

We will provide needs assessments in order to determine what are the actual causes of performance gaps and then help you to identify the best interventions to reduce and ultimately eliminate these gaps. We then will evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention and monitor progress. Again, this is a process, not a one-time, stand-alone event.

Our goals include:

  • Educating the University population on the Human Performance Improvement process
  • Conducting needs assessments throughout ASU to determine what performance gaps exist
  • Developing a plan to reduce these performance gaps
  • Evaluating the current employee orientation program
  • Exploring supervisory and managerial training needs
  • Designing and delivering customer service training
