Admitted Student Checklist

Congratulations on your admission, and welcome to Alabama State University! To help you prepare for your first semester at ASU, we’ve compiled the following checklist of steps you’ll need to take as an admitted student:

  1. Apply for Financial Aid: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than April 1 to receive the maximum state and federal award. (Enter ASU’s school code: 001005.)
  2. Apply for Housing: Complete the housing application and pay a $200 non-refundable room deposit no later than May 30. (If you are disabled and require accommodations, you must complete this information and notify housing no later than April 30.)
  3. Sign up for Orientation: At orientation, you will register for classes, get your student ID card, sign up for parking and more. Visit www.alasu.edu/orientation for more information about upcoming Orientation sessions.
  4. Submit Medical Forms: Have your doctor complete the University Medical Examination Report (.pdf) and Tuberculosis Risk Evaluation (.pdf) and mail them to:

  5. Send Your Transcripts: Ask your high school to send an official and final high school transcript to:
