ASPIRE

Amazing Students Putting in Resilient Effort (ASPIRE)

110217_aspireASPIRE is a program at Alabama State University that partners with Montgomery Public Schools and other local schools to encourage students to stay in school.

During the school year, students come to ASU's campus twice a week to be tutored, mentored and motivated by ASU student mentors. Because Alabama State University offers a variety of majors, your children are assured to receive help in any subject with which they may be struggling in school.

During the summer, ASPIRE's Head Start Camp will help students with organizational and study skills, peer pressure, self-esteem, goal setting and more.

The ASPIRE program will give your child a chance to receive guidance from and develop friendships with mentors who understand issues that many youth face today.

Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to apply.

ASPIRE School Year Program

ASU's ASPIRE program will begin offering tutoring and mentoring to students in grades 6 to 12 Mondays - Thursdays from 3-5 p.m.beginning on Sept. 25, 2017.
