Spirit Awards

Do you know an Alabama State University alumnus who should be recognized for making a difference in the community – and the world?

You have a unique opportunity to honor deserving ASU graduates. The University is seeking nominations for the Spirit of Marion and Spirit of Tullibody Awards to be presented during the 116th Founders' Day Convocation on Feb. 5, 2016.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, Dec. 7, 2015.

These two awards honor the memories of William Burns Paterson, one of Alabama State University's longest-serving presidents, and the group known as the Marion Nine, who co-founded a pioneer educational institution that evolved into what is now Alabama State University.

We encourage you to become involved by helping the University select this year’s award recipients.
