National Science Foundation - Research Initiation Award

 

Thanatomicrobiome Research Group

NSF logoDr. Gulnaz Javan received a $200,000 National Science Foundation HRD 1401075 grant for a two-year project titled "Research Initiation Award: Life After Death - The Thanatomicrobiome," which is the first grant secured by the Forensic Science program at ASU.

Thanatomicrobiome is a relatively new term introduced at the 66th Annual American Academy Forensic Science Meeting by Dr. Javan in Seattle, Washington, on February 22, 2014.
