Department of Rehabilitation Studies

The Department of Rehabilitation Studies consists of two academic programs, the Master of Rehabilitation Counseling (RCOU) and the undergraduate program in Rehabilitation Services (REH) with a concentration in Addiction Studies.

Master of Rehabilitation Counseling Application Deadlines

Master of Rehabilitation Counseling admission applications are due no later than April 1st for primary consideration. Late applications will be accepted and considered through April 30th. These dated are applicable for any given academic year.

Admission Requirements

·        Bachelor degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. (GPA requirement for scholarships and grant traineeships may be higher than admission requirements)

·        Recent Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or MAT scores submitted to Graduate Studies with completed application

·        Three letters of recommendation from persons qualified to evaluate the application’s academic abilities and character

·        Completed application packet to the Master of Rehabilitation Counseling Program due March 31st for scholarship applicants and April 30th for general admission

Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services with a Concentration in Addiction Studies Application Deadlines

·        Application for Admission to the BSRS Program

·        Two recommendation letters completed by professors, high school instructors, employers, supervisors, and/or volunteer supervisors

·        A written personal statement demonstrating the student’s ability to communicate clearly his or her interest in pursuing the BSRS Program.

·        The following minimum Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT): SAT 860-890 or ACT score of 18

·        Applications to the BSRS Program are accepted between November 1 and March 1 of each academic year.
