Cynthia Swain has been employed with the Testing Center for nine years and a total of 17 years with Alabama State University.  Before joining the Testing Center staff, Mrs. Swain worked in the Office of Accounts Payable at ASU for 8 years and continues to use her accounting skills on a regular basic.  Mrs. Swain is a graduate from the College of Education and received Student of Year from the Counseling Department.

Cynthia is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center and oversees all national tests, Graduate School Admission exam, College of Education Exit exams, professional certifications and licensing examinations.  Mrs. Swain is also responsible for establishing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of educational integrity that meet the needs of our students, faculty, administration and community.  She is the Testing Center liaison for Weave online and is responsible for the administration of the campus wide student evaluation of Teaching Excellence survey for faculty members.  Lastly, Mrs. Swain is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association (ALCA), National College of Testing Association (NCTA) and board member for the Alabama Association of Testing Professionals(AATP) for the State of Alabama.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Alabama State University

Stacey Timmons has been employed with Alabama State University for 18 years.  She is a 1999 graduate of ASU’s College of Business Administration (COBA).  

Her primary responsibilities include administering national exams such as the National ACT, Residual ACT and AECTP, data input, file management and providing services for E-Proctoring students. She is responsible for training faculty on Seodna systems and procedures. Ms. Timmons also implements procedures to guarantee the security of testing materials.
