| The RIMI grant has been a great asset to me during my graduate career at Alabama State University. It has helped relieve loads of stress mostly due to financial burdens by funding the distribution of stipends to graduate students. The RIMI grant has also provided the laboratory supplies I used to complete my research for my graduate degree. I have gone to numerous educational conferences, which greatly helped the development of my graduate thesis, thanks to funding by the RIMI grant. Without the RIMI grant my graduate career at Alabama State University might not have been so successful. That is why I am so grateful for the RIMI grant and hope that it will continue to be available for future graduate students, so they can benefit from it as much as I have.

The RIMI grant has been a tremendous help to me over the past year. I was able to conduct scientific research using chemicals and equipment bought by the grant money and support myself in graduate school using the stipend that was given to me. As a result, I successfully completed my thesis and was able to contribute to science. I also had the pleasure of attending scientific conferences and becoming a member of a national scientific association, all thanks to the RIMI grant. Thank you for making available all that I needed to complete my education and to equip myself with the necessary tools for a career in science.

| Working in the Sensory Lab at Alabama State University provided me with an abundance of knowledge on both scientific procedure and the laboratory environment. During my laboratory experience, I gained familiarity with certain types of acids and bases, and I was able to learn a wide range of chemical properties. In addition, the inspiration that I acquired further stimulated my interest in biomedical engineering. Now I have the confidence to pursue a degree in that particular health-allied field. I have definitely benefited from the exposure that I received over my period of working in the lab.
