UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS INSTRUCTIONS

All applicants must return a completed application for admission and the $25 application fee to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. In addition, please follow the instructions listed under the classifications below for which you are applying.  

BEGINNING FRESHMEN

1. Have your guidance counselor (or principal) send a copy of your transcript to the Office of Admissions and recruitment. (Note: If your transcript is sent prior to graduation, a final transcript listing the date of graduation must be received by the Admissions Office after you have graduated high school.)

2. Have your ACT or SAT report forwarded to the Admissions Office. For registration materials or additional score report copies, write to:

3. After you have been admitted, have a physician complete the university medical examination report and forward it to the University Health Center, Alabama State University, P.O. Box 271, Montgomery, AL 36101-0271.

TRANSFER STUDENTS

1. Have an official copy of all transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment from each college or university you’ve attended.

2. After you have been admitted, have a physician complete the university medical examination report and forward it to the University Health Center, Alabama State University, P.O. Box 271, Montgomery, AL 36101-0271.

DATES FOR FILING APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

The completed Undergraduate Admission Application, along with the required supporting documents, must be received by the Office of Admissions and Recruitment no later than 14 days prior to the beginning of the semester in which you seek to enroll. Priority will be given to those applications received early to assure processing in time to register.
